Polished Black PVD

The polished black finish is the counterpart to the brushed variant, adding unparalleled luxury to the bathroom. The polished surface reflects light, giving the space a radiant glow. Polished black highlights details and draws attention with its striking appearance. The faucets are made from high-quality materials and feature a robust PVD coating.

Our Cleaning Tips

The bathroom is used intensively and needs regular cleaning. To enjoy the beautiful Hotbath bathroom faucets for years to come, it is important to follow the tips below.

  1. Dry with a soft (hand) towel
  2. Be careful with sharp objects
  3. Use (Hotbath) sanitary cleaner
  4. Remove limescale from the nozzles

To prevent damage and complaints, both during use and cleaning of the faucets, we recommend following the cleaning advice below. Damages caused by careless use or cleaning are not covered by our warranty provisions. Hotbath products are entirely made of high-quality brass and then heavily chrome-plated.

Hotbath provides a 10-year warranty on finishes with a PVD coating when using our sanitary cleaner.

Tip 1: Dry with a soft (hand) towel

After each use, it is important to dry the faucets thoroughly with a soft (hand) towel. This prevents water spots and limescale buildup, keeping the shine beautiful.

Tip 2: Be careful with sharp objects

Do not use sharp or abrasive objects when cleaning the faucets. These can damage the faucet and cause scratches. We advise against using scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, and microfiber cloths. Also, be careful with jewelry.

Tip 3: Use (Hotbath) sanitary cleaner

For descaling the faucet (thorough cleaning), use the Hotbath sanitary cleaner. Always apply the Hotbath spray using a soft cloth or sponge, never directly on the faucet itself. Do not let the spray sit for more than 1-2 minutes. After cleaning the faucets, rinse everything well to ensure no cleaner remains on the product. The most important thing is to dry the faucets thoroughly after use; the sanitary cleaner is only necessary when limescale buildup is visible.

Tip 4: Remove limescale from the nozzles

Limescale can accumulate in the nozzles of the faucets. Regularly removing this will keep the water flow optimal and extend the faucet's lifespan. This can easily be done by rubbing the nozzles with your hand while showering. For stubborn limescale buildup, treat your head and hand shower well with the Hotbath sanitary cleaner to keep the nozzles completely free of limescale. Don't forget to rinse thoroughly and dry after 1-2 minutes.

Hotbath does not recommend

  • Using a cleaner containing hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, or other harmful, aggressive acids or chlorine;
  • Using phosphoric acid-based (industrial) cleaning agents;
  • Mixing different cleaning agents;
  • Using aggressive cleaning agents, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, and microfiber cloths.

Even personal care products such as shampoo, hair dye, shower gel, and liquid soap can cause damage. Be sure to rinse well with water after use. Drying the faucets and showers with a soft cloth after use will keep the products free of limescale for longer.

Important advice when using a water softener

When using a water softener, you must pay close attention to the advice from your supplier regarding the adjustment of the system. Improperly adjusted water softeners can cause irreversible damage to metal surfaces that come into contact with drying shower or bath water. This damage is recognisable by what is known as an orange effect on polished finishes or non-polishable marks on brushed finishes. Hotbath fittings affected in this way are not covered by any form of guarantee.
